Joske Brew with Cola #RoyalewineshopLabasa

Paradise Beverages launches ‘Cane Spirit’ RTD Fiji’s leading alcoholic beverage manufacturer Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Limited has released a new RTD (ready to drink) – Joskes Brew with Cola. The latest product to join the company’s portfolio has been produced in a 440ml can and four packs. Master distiller Liam Costello worked on creating the well-crafted ‘cane spirit’ that is the base of Joskes Brew. “It is made from Fijian sugarcane and we are proud to bring a perfectly balanced drink to the market with collaboration between our master distillers and master brewers”, says General Manager, Mike Spencer. “Joskes Brew’s flavor profile is fresh vanilla and cola overtones coupled with hints of warm cane spirit to give you a well-balanced finished leaving you wanting more. Rowena Taito, Head of Marketing & NPD, added, “There has been a significant investment into our capability here at the brewery to upgrade our facilities and we have several new products to launch in the coming months to maximize this. It is a challenging time for our industry and innovation is key to stay ahead of imported beverages into Fiji.” Joskes Brew Story In 1872, Fiji Settlers Paul Joske & William Brewer established Fiji’s first sugar mill in Suva. Producing small quantities of crystallized sugar that sold for 5D per pound. They eventually increased their production sending 10 tonnes to Australia in 1874. The venture struggled on for a few years closing in 1875 due to the poor soil conditions in Suva. They had invested and lost the enormous sum of £30 000. Their experience dampened the spirit of others from starting sugar production for some time. Paul Joske went on to design and plan Suva as the capital of Fiji. Joske’s Peak is named after him and is often referred to as Joske’s Thumb.
